DNF supports Detroit Public Schools Community District during COVID-19 Pandemic

Message from CEO

Thank You for visiting the Dallas Nicole Foundation (DNF)! Preparing for 2024, our focus remains on education, health & fitness, and life skills! We continue to find alternative and improved ways to protect and promote our youth in various domains in the Detroit metropolitan area! We are continuing to diversify “The Edutainment Series” with a variety of entertaining avenues to educate our youth for STEM and other career fields.

I am very passionate about education and understand that health, fitness, and life skills can play an important role in the youth of the community becoming leaders and positive contributors to society. Our youth are competing globally in a dynamic environment with growing technology and world events!

Having experience in a community college and high school as an instructor in the mathematics area, I have seen students who were unprepared for the courses they were placed in and missed the mastery of certain skills. Lessons taught were far above or below their skill level.

I found myself making two or three sets of lesson plans, staying after class, and providing mentorship and additional assistance to my students. The additional time also helps with understanding how students learn. Our students learn through reading, writing, practical application, music, song, dance, and more! Although this is just a start, I feel great intrinsic motivation and sense of helping our youth. This let me know that assisting our students is what I need to do.

Developing partnerships, collaborating with others to assist school leadership, administration, and the community with these challenges can yield positive results! We are dedicated to providing support to youth of different backgrounds in different facets of education; also understanding that health and fitness is important as well. Leadership and community members are the drivers of change and we are happy to give back to our community!
